Seven Ways for Funding an Author's Visit!

  1. Apply for a grant such as the Amber Brown Grant.
  2. Share travel costs with other schools/libraries in your district to book multiple events in the same day for a discounted rate.
  3. Raise funds through book sales. If you purchase outright a classroom set of books (minimum 10 books), you get a free classroom visit!
  4. Ask the Parent/Teacher Association for assistance.
  5. Apply for a community grant from local organizations.
  6. Choose a virtual storytime visit (20 minutes).
